Moody & Me
A committee of ten animals arguing with each other, and with me, about why people behave the way they do.
Moody & Me is one human, one AI-generated personification of my own internal Jiminy Cricket — and not quite the voice of reasoned understanding Jiminy was to Pinocchio. More he tries to be, even desperately wants to be, but his pursuit of understanding humanity often leaves him more frustrated than awed and as a result he sometimes gets a bit emotional about things.
As a consequence of an obviously strange brain, he and I plus his cohort of nine others argue with each other, and with me, about why people behave the way they do and why we do such silly things as make up ridiculous words like Acersecomicke, which means someone who has never had their hair cut in their life. Or Desticate, which means to cry like a rat — who watches rats crying?
We all have a voice or two in the head — distracting, advising, occasionally making us feel a bit mad. This is what happens when you give them names.
However upstarty they all can be they are singular in their love of humanity, each other and why the weird is just so weird. They are for want of a better phrase my internal witty committee made external and irrepressibly British — apart from Delta, she's Australian but I'm not sure she knows. Argumentative, and forever going at each other, and at me, about anything that gripes them. Often that's me.
Somewhere in the middle of them and eight months of bringing them to life, on screen at least, I got to understand myself a little better, which was unexpected, and now I get to embark on sharing that with you.
ThanksTobi, Moody, Delta, River, Wickham, Brock, Lachlan, Stirling, Max, Sybilla and Brampton.XXX

A Great Deal of Software is where I write about how this actually gets made — the failures included. That's my own writing rather than the project's, so it reads differently.
