About

I guess it's the about page, so let's start with me.

Tobias Orson-Rawly

A writer, creator, designer and producer. A former journalist and business owner, a political geek, a professional name changer (Three times and counting), dog owner (Timber), Outdoorsy preferably, slightly unhinged nut job, loyal friend, Autodidact, Polymath, Epistemophile and show off.

Set out on a journey to learn something new and hasn't been able to stop creating with it ever since. A desire to understand became a passion and an entirely new focus.

One person, a busy brain and a great deal of software and here we are.

I write the scripts. I build the characters, the arguments, the jokes and the timing. The tools render it.

Everything here is collaboratively made with AI tools. I debate rules, get guidance prompting, log failures and pursue solutions to problems but neither AI nor, for that matter, myself are always right. Knowing where to draw a line, where to say no, where to correct and where to fundamentally change the instructions of the model are learnt dynamics and come with risk.

That division is the reason there is a standards page at all — it matters to me which half is mine, and it should be legible to anyone watching.

So on to the…

Standards

I have set out what I check, what I commit to, and — at greater length — what I could not find out. That is the Standards.

The workings, failures included, are fortnightly on A Great Deal of Software — honest about what didn't work, because that's the interesting half.
